Mitti (formerly SafetyCulture) vs GoCanvas

One side of this comparison has answered it twice, on two different domains, both still live after the rename. The other side has never answered at all. That is the entire published record on this pair.

Who wrote this, and what we sell

We make ReportWalk, an inspection app. We are not one of these two products and neither company has any relationship with us. Our own tool appears once, at the bottom.

The short answer

Mitti (formerly SafetyCulture)

Choose Mitti if ten free seats and breadth across inspections, training and assets is what you need. Its free tier is the strongest offer in the category.

GoCanvas

Choose GoCanvas if you want one admin designing a form once and pushing it to a crew, with dispatch and integrations attached — and if the three-user minimum fits.

GoCanvas at $29 per user against a three-user minimum is $1,044 a year even for one person. Against a competitor giving away ten seats, that is the comparison in a sentence.

Who actually switched, and why

We found no named departures from GoCanvas at all, in any direction, and no migration between these two products. The inbound record above is to Mitti from a third product.

A currency-driven decision, which no vendor's marketing accounts for and which matters to anyone buying outside the US.

Where they genuinely differ

Price and minimums

Mitti's free tier is ten seats indefinitely; Premium is $24 per seat per month billed annually.

GoCanvas is $29 per user per month against a three-user minimum, billed annually — $1,044 a year at the floor. It has been owned by Nemetschek since mid-2024.

Offline

GoCanvas offline is genuine: a rich client that fills forms with no coverage at all, with credentials revalidating on a 24-hour default timeout extendable to 30 days.

Mitti's coverage is broad but excludes analytics, the template editor and the public library.

The rename, for anyone with an integration

SafetyCulture became Mitti on 11 August 2026. The vendor states no change to logins, data, integrations, settings, permissions or contracts.

Two live help centres now exist in parallel and the template library does not redirect. If you have an integration, confirm your endpoints.

What each is honestly better at

Mitti

Free seats, and breadth beyond forms. Ten seats indefinitely is unmatched here, and its offline coverage spans training and assets rather than stopping at the form.

GoCanvas

Form distribution done properly. Design once, push to a whole crew, get data back in one shape, with dispatch and integrations to move it onward — and an offline implementation with an unusually well-documented credential model.

What we could not verify

  • Whether Mitti's legal entity was renamed — the App Store seller still reads SafetyCulture Pty Ltd.
  • Any migration between these two products, or any named departure from GoCanvas.
  • Mitti's API endpoints after the rename.
  • Reddit was unreachable in every research session.

If neither fits — a third shape of tool

Both price for teams. If you are one person, GoCanvas's three-user minimum and Mitti's team-shaped feature set are both answering a question you did not ask — ReportWalk starts free for one person and does correspondingly less.
