Mitti (formerly SafetyCulture) vs GoAudits
First, the naming, because it is causing real confusion: SafetyCulture renamed to Mitti on 11 August 2026, and SafetyCulture was iAuditor before that. One product, three names in four years. If you are comparing 'iAuditor vs GoAudits' you are comparing this.
Who wrote this, and what we sell
We make ReportWalk, an inspection app. We are not one of the two products here, we have no partnership with either, and this is not affiliate content. Our own tool appears once, at the bottom.
The short answer
Mitti (formerly SafetyCulture)
Choose Mitti if you need ten free seats, breadth across inspections, training, assets and actions, and offline coverage that spans more than the form. Nothing else in this category competes with free at that headcount.
GoAudits
Choose GoAudits if you want scored audits with actions tracked to closure at $10 per user per month, across several verticals, without the platform surface area Mitti brings.
If what is pushing you is the time it takes to build the checklist before anyone can inspect anything, neither of these solves that — both are template-first products and GoAudits' reviewers name setup friction specifically.
Who actually switched, and why
We found no migration in either direction between these two products. Both draw from elsewhere — Mitti from enterprise EHS platforms, GoAudits from other audit tools. That is worth knowing: this pair is a shortlist question, not a switching path.
Intelex → SafetyCulture (now Mitti)
“Customisation, Cost and Ease of use across our workforce”
Device Magic → SafetyCulture (now Mitti)
“The price is in $ and the exchange rate to SA Rand make all apps expensive (Per Device)”
A currency-driven move, which is a reason nobody's marketing accounts for and which matters to anyone buying outside the US.
YOOBIC → GoAudits
“Not friendly user, and reports were too complicated”
Confusion about the earlier rename
“we were using iauditor which i think was bought out by safety culture”
Not a migration — a customer misdescribing a rename as an acquisition, four years after it happened. Included because it is the clearest evidence that this naming confusion is real and already documented.
Where they genuinely differ
Price, from each vendor's own page
Mitti's free tier is ten seats, indefinitely — not a trial. Premium is $24 per seat per month billed annually.
GoAudits is $10 per user per month billed annually with a fourteen-day trial and no free tier. One caveat we could not resolve: its iOS in-app subscription is listed at $299.99 a year, which does not obviously reconcile with the website price. Ask them which applies before you sign.
Offline
Mitti's offline coverage is broad: inspections, actions, assets and reports all work without a connection. Analytics, the template editor and the public template library do not.
GoAudits states plainly that you can conduct mobile inspections on your preferred device, even offline, without the caveats several competitors attach to similar claims.
Setup effort, which is the recurring GoAudits complaint
Two dated reviewers describe the same friction. Sue R., a quality manager, on 21 April 2026: 'Setting up each individual audit is a bit cumbersome. Although GoAudits provides help, the checklist often needs additional tweaking.' Dean M., 22 January 2025: 'Rearranging questions or selecting answer type can be a bit fiddly when creating a new audit template.'
That is the cost of a template-first product, and it falls on whoever has to build the form before anyone can walk anywhere.
Maintenance status worth checking
GoAudits' iOS app was last updated on 9 June 2024 and carries 33 ratings. The company is clearly active — its blog publishes through 2026 — but for a product whose job happens on a phone, that date is worth knowing.
What each is honestly better at
Mitti
Free seats and breadth. Ten working seats indefinitely is an offer nothing else here matches, and its offline coverage spans training, assets and scheduling rather than stopping at the form. For a team of ten that needs a broad EHS platform, it is genuinely hard to beat and we would not pretend otherwise.
GoAudits
Scored audits with actions tracked to closure, at a third of Mitti's paid price, across a library that has clearly been used rather than generated. It also publishes competitors' prices in its own comparison content — including ones cheaper than itself — which is rarer than it should be.
What we could not verify
- Whether Mitti's legal entity was renamed. The App Store seller of record still reads SafetyCulture Pty Ltd, so the safe description is that Mitti appears to be a trading name.
- The discrepancy between GoAudits' $10 per user per month website price and the $299.99 annual figure on its iOS listing. We could not reconcile them.
- Mitti's integration endpoints after the rename. For anyone with an existing integration this is the most important unanswered technical question, and we could not establish it.
- Reddit was unreachable in every research session.
If neither fits — a third shape of tool
Both of these ask you to build the checklist first. If that is the part that never happens, the alternative shape is a tool that applies structure to what you photographed and said rather than to a form you designed in advance — which is what ReportWalk does. It is built for one person and a finished document, not for scored audits across sites.
