Mitti is the new name for SafetyCulture, which was the new name for iAuditor. The rename is five weeks old, almost nothing on the web explains it yet, and that is probably why this page is short on hype and long on dates.
Why people are looking
First: make sure you mean this Mitti
There are two. Mitti Insurance began in 2020 as SafetyCulture's insurance joint venture with QBE, was renamed SafetyCulture Care, and reverted to Mitti Insurance on 10–11 August 2026.
On the same day, the parent company and the inspection platform took the name Mitti too. So if you arrived looking for business insurance, this is the wrong page. If you arrived looking for the app your team fills checklists in, read on.
What the rebrand changed: the name, and not much else
Same app, same data, same logins, same free ten-seat tier. safetyculture.com redirects to mitti.com and the product carries on.
This matters if you are evaluating alternatives, because every review, complaint and comparison written before August 2026 is about this product under its old name. Nothing older than five weeks says 'Mitti' — which does not mean there is nothing to read, only that you should search the old name.
What people are actually leaving over
Not the rebrand. The dated 2026 complaints cluster on three things: AI features that are now metered per seat, support that routes to AI rather than a person, and changes arriving without migration tools — one facilities manager recreating 450 schedules by hand.

The honest reason most people should not switch
Ten free seats. If that covers your team, nothing on this page — ours included — beats it on price. Switch because the product is wrong for the job, not because the logo changed.

What Mitti does well
It is the broadest offline coverage in this category: inspections, actions, assets, training and scheduling all work without signal, not just the form on screen.
And it scales sideways. One template pushed to forty people across nine sites, with the results rolling up into one dashboard, is what the product is for.

Is Mitti the same as SafetyCulture?
Yes. SafetyCulture renamed itself Mitti on 11 August 2026 — company and platform. The app, the data and the logins are unchanged and safetyculture.com redirects to mitti.com.
Why did SafetyCulture change its name to Mitti?
The company rebranded after twenty-two years, taking the name of its own insurance venture. The change was reported in August 2026 by Forbes Australia and SmartCompany and announced by the company itself. The insurance arm, which had been renamed SafetyCulture Care, went back to Mitti Insurance at the same time.
Is Mitti the same as iAuditor?
Same product, two names ago. iAuditor became SafetyCulture on 21 November 2022, and SafetyCulture became Mitti on 11 August 2026.
Is Mitti still free?
The free tier with ten seats was in place at the time of writing, in September 2026, and the rebrand did not change it. AI features are metered per seat. Check the current pricing page before deciding — this is the number most likely to move.
What is the best Mitti alternative for a single inspector?
It depends on what you produce. If the output is a client-facing report, a report tool like ReportWalk or Spectora fits better than an audit platform. If it is a compliance record for your own files, Mitti's free tier is hard to argue with at one seat.
