Inspect2GO alternatives
when a second form is a second purchase

Inspect2GO sells inspection software to municipalities — permitting, code enforcement, food safety. Its pricing model is unlike anything else in this research, and it is the reason most people end up comparing it to something else.

Why people are looking

Priced per inspection form, per year

A public-sector price list published on their own domain shows $7,500 per inspection form per year, $4,500 for a web-only form, and $20,000 for API access.

We want to be careful with this figure: it comes from an undated Texas DIR contract price list, which is a public-sector procurement vehicle. Commercial pricing may be entirely different and we have not seen it.

What the model means, though, is structural: your second inspection type is a second purchase. Most products here charge for people; this one charges for forms.

Offline is one sentence with nothing behind it

“Native mobile app works without internet connectivity.” That is the whole claim — no sync documentation, no conflict handling, no limits.

It is a reasonable claim and we have banded it as genuine on the vendor's word. But for a system of record in a regulated environment, one sentence is thin.

The site still lists Internet Explorer

Its footer says 2026 and its last announcement was January 2025, but the supported-browser list still includes a browser Microsoft retired in 2022.

There are zero Capterra reviews. Between the two, forming an independent view of how current the product is proved difficult.

The other side of it

What Inspect2GO is genuinely built for

Municipal government work — permits, code enforcement, food-safety inspections — as a system of record, with the workflow and records requirements that come with public-sector accountability.

That is a real specialism. An inspection app that produces a PDF is not a permitting system, and a city cannot run enforcement on one.

If you are a municipality, the per-form pricing may also reflect how you actually procure: a defined scope, priced and budgeted per programme.

What the reviews say

Which in this case is almost nothing — and that is worth saying

Research note — not a user review

Inspect2GO has no public reviews at all — nothing on Capterra, nothing elsewhere we could reach. Its most recent announcement is from January 2025. We have published its pricing because the vendor's own domain hosts the price list, and we have labelled that list as exactly what it is: an undated public-sector procurement schedule, not a quote for a commercial buyer.

The alternatives

Every price below is the published list price for a single user at the time of writing. Where offline behaviour is undocumented by the vendor, it says so rather than guessing.

Mitti (formerly SafetyCulture)

Works offline

Free for 10 seats

Premium $24/seat/mo billed annually

Best for
A safety or facilities team at more than one site that needs forms, actions and assets in one place.
Offline
Broad. Inspections, actions, assets and reports all work offline; analytics, the template editor and the public library do not.
Watch out for
AI features are now metered per seat, and April 2026 reviewers report changes landing without migration tools.

GoAudits

Works offline

$10/user/mo

billed annually; no free tier, 14-day trial

Best for
A multi-site team that wants one audit library, scoring and scheduled reports across several verticals.
Offline
Genuine — “Conduct mobile inspections on your preferred device, even offline.”
Watch out for
Two dated reviews describe the same template-setup friction. Its iOS app was last updated 9 June 2024 and carries 33 ratings, and the in-app subscription is listed at $299.99/yr against a $10/user/mo website price.

Fulcrum

Works offline

$2,580/yr

$43/user × a 5-seat minimum, annual only

Best for
Geospatial and environmental field teams that need layers, coordinates and API pipelines, not just a form.
Offline
Genuine. Records, photos, video, audio and signatures all capture offline and media uploads as it reconnects. Draft records do not sync between devices.
Watch out for
The 5-seat annual minimum is the whole story: one user costs $2,580 a year.

eAuditor

Works offline

Free for 10 seats

unlimited inspections on the free tier; Premium $9.99/seat/mo annual

Best for
A small team that wants ten free seats and unlimited inspections without a trial clock.
Offline
Genuine — “we made sure our app supports environments where you don’t have an internet connection.”
Watch out for
Almost no independent record exists — three App Store ratings and no Capterra reviews — so there is little evidence either way. No native iPad app.

Free to start

monthly plans for higher volumes

Best for
One person who needs the report finished before they leave the site.
Offline
Photos, voice notes and answers are written to the phone first and sync when signal returns. A whole inspection can run in a basement with no bars.
Watch out for
iPhone only, and it is deliberately not a business platform — no scheduling, no invoicing, no CRM.

Disclosure — this is our site

Where ReportWalk fits

We are not a municipal system of record and cannot run a permitting programme.

For an inspector who needs a document rather than a workflow, ours produces one on site: photographs carrying GPS, time and weather, spoken observations as written findings, a branded PDF and a shareable link.

You are not charged per form. Use as many inspection types as you like.

Where we lose

If you are a city running code enforcement, you need permitting, case management and public records handling. We have none of that and are not a substitute for it.

How this page was made

Prices come from vendor pricing pages, offline behaviour from vendor help documentation, and quotes from G2, Capterra, TrustRadius, GetApp and the App Store, each carrying its reviewer, source and date. Where a claim comes from a customer rather than the vendor, the page says so. Where something is undocumented, it says that too. Software pricing changes — check the vendor before you decide, and tell us if you find something here that has gone stale.
