eAuditor alternatives
and the evidence problem
eAuditor gives away ten seats with unlimited inspections and documents genuine offline support. On paper that is one of the best offers in this market. The difficulty is that almost nobody has written about using it.
Why people are looking
Three App Store ratings, no Capterra reviews
That is the entire independent record we could find. Not bad reviews — an absence of them.
For a free product that is not disqualifying, because the cost of trying it is your time rather than your money. But it does mean that every claim on their site is unverified by anyone outside the company, and you should weigh it accordingly.
The vendor is not who you might assume
eAuditor is published by Lyons Information Systems. It is sometimes confused with Inspect2GO; they are unrelated companies.
Worth knowing if you are checking who you would be trusting with your inspection data.
No native iPad app
iOS 15.1 or later on iPhone, Android, and web. If your team inspects on iPads — common in hospitality and healthcare — you are running an iPhone app scaled up.
The other side of it
What eAuditor offers that almost nobody matches
Ten seats, unlimited inspections, free — with no trial clock. Mitti is the only comparable offer and eAuditor's is unlimited on volume.
Its offline claim is direct: “we made sure our app supports environments where you don't have an internet connection.”
And it is the freshest-shipping product in the whole round — its iOS app updated on 5 August 2026, more recently than most of the products we looked at.
If cost is your constraint and you are willing to evaluate it yourself rather than rely on other people's reviews, it is a rational place to start.
What the reviews say
Which in this case is almost nothing — and that is worth saying
Research note — not a user review
There are no reviews of eAuditor to publish. Three App Store ratings, nothing on Capterra, nothing elsewhere we could find. We are not going to manufacture criticism of a free product, and we are not going to imply that the absence of reviews is itself a fault — for a product this size it usually just means it is small. What it does mean is that the vendor's claims are unverified by any independent party, which is worth knowing before you build a process on them.

The alternatives
Every price below is the published list price for a single user at the time of writing. Where offline behaviour is undocumented by the vendor, it says so rather than guessing.
Mitti (formerly SafetyCulture)
Works offlineFree for 10 seats
Premium $24/seat/mo billed annually
- Best for
- A safety or facilities team at more than one site that needs forms, actions and assets in one place.
- Offline
- Broad. Inspections, actions, assets and reports all work offline; analytics, the template editor and the public library do not.
- Watch out for
- AI features are now metered per seat, and April 2026 reviewers report changes landing without migration tools.
- Platforms
- iOS · Android · web
GoAudits
Works offline$10/user/mo
billed annually; no free tier, 14-day trial
- Best for
- A multi-site team that wants one audit library, scoring and scheduled reports across several verticals.
- Offline
- Genuine — “Conduct mobile inspections on your preferred device, even offline.”
- Watch out for
- Two dated reviews describe the same template-setup friction. Its iOS app was last updated 9 June 2024 and carries 33 ratings, and the in-app subscription is listed at $299.99/yr against a $10/user/mo website price.
- Platforms
- iOS 15+ · Android · web
Safesite
Offline, with limitsFree
genuinely free for unlimited members; Premium $16/member/mo
- Best for
- A construction crew that needs OSHA-shaped safety forms for an unlimited number of people at no cost.
- Offline
- The vendor hedges its own wording: “Complete safety tasks with limited connectivity (offline mode).” No supporting help article exists.
- Watch out for
- Free and still shipping — the iOS app updated in July 2026 — but the company has not published a blog post since July 2022.
- Platforms
- iOS 14+ · Android · web
MaintainX
Offline after pre-loadingFree
Essential $20/user/mo annual; Premium $65
- Best for
- A maintenance or facilities team that wants a genuinely free starting tier and a path up to procedures and asset health.
- Offline
- Requires a warm cache: “Before you switch to offline mode, you have to connect to the internet so MaintainX can create or update the cache.” The cache size is configurable.
- Watch out for
- The jump from Essential to Premium is $20 to $65 a user, and offline only works if the app was online recently enough to build its cache.
- Platforms
- iOS · Android · web
ReportWalk
Works offlineFree to start
monthly plans for higher volumes
- Best for
- One person who needs the report finished before they leave the site.
- Offline
- Photos, voice notes and answers are written to the phone first and sync when signal returns. A whole inspection can run in a basement with no bars.
- Watch out for
- iPhone only, and it is deliberately not a business platform — no scheduling, no invoicing, no CRM.
- Platforms
- iPhone · web forms in any browser
Disclosure — this is our site
Where ReportWalk fits
We are not going to argue with free on price, so here is the honest difference: eAuditor gives a team a form to fill in. We give one person a finished document.
Photographs carry GPS, time and the weather at that moment; the voice becomes written findings; a branded PDF and a shareable link are produced on site.
Photos, voice and answers write to the phone first, so no signal is a non-event.
Where we lose
Ten free seats with unlimited inspections is a better offer than ours for a team, and saying otherwise would be dishonest. If budget is the binding constraint, start there.

How this page was made
Prices come from vendor pricing pages, offline behaviour from vendor help documentation, and quotes from G2, Capterra, TrustRadius, GetApp and the App Store, each carrying its reviewer, source and date. Where a claim comes from a customer rather than the vendor, the page says so. Where something is undocumented, it says that too. Software pricing changes — check the vendor before you decide, and tell us if you find something here that has gone stale.
