GoAudits alternatives
when the template setup is the problem

GoAudits does a lot right — genuine offline, real multi-vertical reach, and a price that starts at ten dollars a user. The complaint that keeps recurring is not about any of that. It is about the hours you spend before the first inspection, building the checklist.

Why people are looking

Two reviewers, a year apart, describe the same setup friction

A quality manager in April 2026 and a farm logistics coordinator in January 2025 report the same thing in different words: building an audit is fiddly, and the checklist needs tweaking after the vendor helps you with it.

That is the specific cost of a template-first product. Somebody has to sit down and build the form before anyone can walk anywhere, and that person is usually you.

The iOS app has not shipped since June 2024

Last updated 9 June 2024, carrying 33 ratings. The company is plainly active — the blog is publishing through 2026 and it has offices in five regions — but the iPhone app has been still for over two years.

For a product whose whole job happens on a phone, that is the number worth knowing before you commit a year to it.

Two prices, and they are thirty times apart

The website says $10 per user per month billed annually, with Enterprise at $30. The in-app subscription on iOS is listed at $299.99 a year.

There is probably a reasonable explanation — annual billing dressed differently, or an App Store SKU covering something else. We are not going to invent it. Ask them which one applies to you before you sign, and get the answer in writing.

There is no free tier

A fourteen-day trial, then it is paid. That is unremarkable on its own, but it matters in this specific market: eAuditor gives ten seats and unlimited inspections for nothing, and Mitti gives ten seats free indefinitely. If price is the reason you are looking, those are the two to weigh, not us.

The other side of it

What GoAudits does better than most of this list

Offline is genuine and unqualified — inspections run on your device with no coverage, and the vendor says so without hedging.

Its reach across verticals is real rather than programmatic. The library covers construction, hospitality, retail, food, property and agriculture with templates that have clearly been used.

And it publishes competitors' prices in its own comparison content, including ones cheaper than itself. That is rarer than it should be, and it is the reason its articles earn links.

If you need scored audits across several sites with actions tracked to closure, GoAudits is a sound choice and ten dollars is a fair price for it.

What users actually wrote

Verbatim, with reviewer, source and date

Setting up each individual audit is a bit cumbersome. Although GoAudits provides help, the checklist often needs additional tweaking.

The alternatives

Every price below is the published list price for a single user at the time of writing. Where offline behaviour is undocumented by the vendor, it says so rather than guessing.

Mitti (formerly SafetyCulture)

Works offline

Free for 10 seats

Premium $24/seat/mo billed annually

Best for
A safety or facilities team at more than one site that needs forms, actions and assets in one place.
Offline
Broad. Inspections, actions, assets and reports all work offline; analytics, the template editor and the public library do not.
Watch out for
AI features are now metered per seat, and April 2026 reviewers report changes landing without migration tools.

eAuditor

Works offline

Free for 10 seats

unlimited inspections on the free tier; Premium $9.99/seat/mo annual

Best for
A small team that wants ten free seats and unlimited inspections without a trial clock.
Offline
Genuine — “we made sure our app supports environments where you don’t have an internet connection.”
Watch out for
Almost no independent record exists — three App Store ratings and no Capterra reviews — so there is little evidence either way. No native iPad app.
Platforms
iOS 15.1+ · Android · web

GoCanvas

Works offline

$1,044/yr

$29/user × a 3-user minimum, annual only

Best for
One admin designing a form once and pushing it to a whole crew, with dispatch and integrations attached.
Offline
Genuine — a rich client that fills forms with no coverage at all. Credentials revalidate on a 24-hour default timeout, extendable to 30 days.
Watch out for
The 3-user minimum makes it $1,044 a year even if only one person ever opens it. Owned by Nemetschek since June 2024.

Fulcrum

Works offline

$2,580/yr

$43/user × a 5-seat minimum, annual only

Best for
Geospatial and environmental field teams that need layers, coordinates and API pipelines, not just a form.
Offline
Genuine. Records, photos, video, audio and signatures all capture offline and media uploads as it reconnects. Draft records do not sync between devices.
Watch out for
The 5-seat annual minimum is the whole story: one user costs $2,580 a year.

Xenia

Offline after pre-loading

Contact sales

priced per location rather than per user; 14-day trial, no free tier

Best for
Multi-location restaurant, convenience and hospitality operations running brand standards across sites.
Offline
Pre-loaded, and unusually candid about it: “Open the audit on the tablet while you still have WiFi.” The vendor also states the use case is sub-2MB-per-minute sites, and that photo interpretation does not run offline.
Watch out for
Per-location pricing is the wrong shape for a single operator, and there is nothing on Capterra dated 2025 or 2026.

iOS 14+ · Android · web

ReportWalk

Works offline

Free to start

monthly plans for higher volumes

Best for
One person who needs the report finished before they leave the site.
Offline
Photos, voice notes and answers are written to the phone first and sync when signal returns. A whole inspection can run in a basement with no bars.
Watch out for
iPhone only, and it is deliberately not a business platform — no scheduling, no invoicing, no CRM.

Disclosure — this is our site

Where ReportWalk fits

The template-setup complaint is the one we are actually built against. You do not design a form first — you walk, photograph and talk, and the structure is applied to what you said.

Photos carry GPS, time and the weather at that moment; voice notes become written findings; a branded PDF and a shareable link are finished on site.

Everything writes to the phone before it touches a server, so a basement is not an event.

Where we lose

GoAudits will beat us on scored multi-site audits, action tracking and cross-vertical breadth. If you need a dashboard showing forty sites' compliance scores this quarter, we do not have one and are not building one.

The bit that actually stops people

Already built your template in GoAudits?

Send it to us and we will rebuild it in ReportWalk by hand — same sections, same wording, usually within two or three working days. It costs nothing, you do not need an account to ask, and it stays private to you.

Questions

How much does GoAudits cost?

The website publishes $10 per user per month billed annually, with an Enterprise tier at $30. Its iOS in-app subscription is listed at $299.99 a year, which does not obviously reconcile with the website figure — worth clarifying with them directly before committing.

Does GoAudits work offline?

Yes. The vendor states you can “conduct mobile inspections on your preferred device, even offline”, without the caveats several competitors attach to similar claims.

Is there a free version of GoAudits?

No. There is a fourteen-day trial. If a free tier is what you need, eAuditor offers ten seats with unlimited inspections, and Mitti offers ten seats indefinitely.

What is the fastest alternative to set up?

If setup time is the deciding factor, the question is whether you need a template at all. ReportWalk applies structure to what you photographed and said rather than asking you to build a form first. If you do want templates, Mitti's public library is the largest by a wide margin.

How this page was made

Prices come from vendor pricing pages, offline behaviour from vendor help documentation, and quotes from G2, Capterra, TrustRadius, GetApp and the App Store, each carrying its reviewer, source and date. Where a claim comes from a customer rather than the vendor, the page says so. Where something is undocumented, it says that too. Software pricing changes — check the vendor before you decide, and tell us if you find something here that has gone stale.
