Fluix is a capable document-workflow product for aviation, energy and marine operations. The reason people look for alternatives is arithmetic: $29 a user, five seats minimum, so $145 a month whether five people use it or one.
Why people are looking
$145 a month is the floor, not the price
Five seats at $29 each, billed as a minimum rather than as what you use. The Operations tier raises the floor to fifteen seats.
There is no free tier, and the trial is sales-gated — you ask for it rather than starting it. For a solo operator or a pair, that is a structural exclusion rather than a pricing preference.
Offline is prefetch, and they list what breaks
Fluix publishes a candid list of what does not work without a connection: first-time login, because authentication needs connectivity; real-time updates; and live dashboards.
That is a fair and useful disclosure. It also tells you the shape — the app has to have been online, logged in and synced before it is useful somewhere it cannot reach.
iOS 18, and a date that does not add up
The app requires iOS 18. Its listing is dated July 2024 — which is before iOS 18 shipped.
Those two facts cannot both be right, and rather than pick one we are telling you the inconsistency exists. If you are evaluating Fluix on how actively it is maintained, get the current version and its date from the vendor rather than from the store listing or from us.
The other side of it
What Fluix is genuinely good at
Document workflows with real routing and signature steps — a form that has to go from a technician to a supervisor to a records system, with each step accountable. That is a different problem from writing a report and we do not solve it.
Its candour about offline limitations is also better than most. Listing what fails is more useful than claiming nothing does.
For regulated aviation, energy or marine operations with a team of five or more, the minimum is not a barrier and the product is well suited.
