FieldEagle makes the most unqualified offline claim of any product we looked at: it operates fully offline without any internet connectivity, with no cache limit and no pre-load condition attached. The catch is what you have to hold to use it.
Why people are looking
iPad only. There is no iPhone app.
On iOS it is an iPad application. Android and Windows are supported, but if your field team carries iPhones there is no first-class option.
For oil, gas and mining asset inspection that may be fine — tablets are common in those environments. For anyone whose people already have a phone in their pocket, it is a hardware purchase attached to a software decision.
The iOS release carries one rating and dates from April 2024
One rating, last shipped 24 April 2024. The company is clearly active — it put out an AI release on 11 August 2026 — but the tablet app has been still for over two years.
Its own site footer says 2025, which is a small thing, but small things accumulate into a picture.
A pricing page with no prices on it
The URL exists. The figures do not. Evaluation starts with a sales conversation, and there is no free tier or self-serve trial to form your own view first.
The other side of it
What FieldEagle does better than anyone
That offline claim. “Field Eagle operates fully offline… without any internet connectivity” — no cache cap, no prefetch condition, no per-item limit documented anywhere. Several products on this site hedge; this one does not.
It is also purpose-built for heavy industrial asset inspection in Canada and North America, with the depth that implies.
If you inspect assets on a tablet in a remote environment, this is a serious product and its offline story is arguably stronger than ours.

There are no public reviews of FieldEagle we could date inside our window — its iOS listing carries a single rating and it has no meaningful directory review presence. This page therefore makes no claims about how it performs in use. What is documented and checkable is the platform constraint: there is no iPhone application, and the iPad one has not shipped since April 2024.
