PlanRadar is good at the thing it is for — pinning defects to a drawing so a whole team can see them. Two things send people looking for alternatives, and both are quantified: what the entry price actually includes, and how long a PDF takes.
Why people are looking
Basic is one user and ten plans. Starter is $107.
The $32 a month you see quoted is a single user with ten plans attached. The moment you need a second person, you are on Starter at $107 per user, and Pro is $159.
That is a three-fold jump at the first sign of a colleague. If you priced a project on the headline figure, check the tier before you commit to it.
Offline limits, reported from an actual plant
A junior engineer in April 2026 puts it precisely: offline functionality has limitations, and that is a practical concern in an industrial facility where connectivity is not consistent across every section of the plant. That is the use case, described by someone standing in it.
The vendor's own wording explains why: you can browse projects, plans and tickets “that are synced to your application” without a connection. You have to be logged in already, the content has to have been pulled down already, and your changes stay invisible to everyone else until you reconnect.
Three minutes for a PDF
A civil engineer, September 2025: the reports are sometimes a little ugly, and generating a ticket report to PDF takes three minutes.
If the document is the deliverable — if someone is waiting for it — three minutes standing in a corridor is the part of the day you will remember.
Configuration weight, and metered AI
A December 2025 reviewer describes the platform as overwhelming at first because of the number of features and configuration options. That is the honest cost of a product that can be shaped to any workflow.
AI usage is also metered, so the newer features have a consumption ceiling attached rather than being simply included.

Defects pinned to a floor plan, shared live across a team, with tickets that have owners and deadlines. If your defects need a location on a drawing rather than a place in a list, nothing on this page replaces that — including us.
It is also properly multi-region: prices in euros, dollars, pounds and Australian dollars, and an EU-rooted product with the documentation to match.
For BIM-adjacent defect management across a team, it is the right category of tool and the $107 tier is not unreasonable for what it does.

We do not know the cause and the vendor has not published one. What is on the record is a civil engineer's September 2025 review reporting three minutes to generate a ticket report to PDF, alongside a comment that the reports are sometimes unattractive.
