Inspect Point alternatives
for iPhone, and for one person
Inspect Point is specialist software for fire protection contractors, with NFPA templates built in. Two things disqualify a lot of people before they get to the features, and both are structural rather than critical.
Why people are looking
Three technicians, or four hundred inspections
The floor is three technicians or four hundred inspections. A one- or two-person fire protection contractor is not a customer, regardless of how well the product would suit the work.
Pricing above that floor is not published either, so the cost only becomes knowable in a sales conversation.
iPad only
No iPhone, no Android. If your technicians work from phones, the hardware decision is made for you — and for anyone climbing ladders or working in risers, a tablet is a genuine ergonomic choice rather than a neutral one.
Offline photo behaviour is not documented
Offline sync with a send-later queue is documented, which is a decent foundation. What happens to photographs offline is not written down anywhere we could find.
For fire inspection, where the photograph often is the evidence for a deficiency, that is the question to ask specifically.
The support complaints are old, and the vendor answered them
There are no dated complaints since March 2025. The three strongest are all from November 2024, and in January 2026 the vendor replied to them claiming improvement.
We are telling you that rather than quoting eighteen-month-old grievances as though they were current. Old complaints answered by the vendor are weak evidence about a product today.

What the specialism buys you
NFPA 25, 72 and 10 templates and report formats that Authorities Having Jurisdiction accept without argument.
That last part is the entire value. A general-purpose inspection tool can produce a beautiful document that an AHJ rejects, and then you have done the job twice.
If you do fire protection at three-technician scale or above, the specialism is worth more than any price advantage below.

Research note — not a user review
There are no dated complaints about Inspect Point since March 2025. The strongest three are all from November 2024, and the vendor responded to them in January 2026 claiming improvement.
Quoting stale complaints the vendor has already answered would tell you nothing useful about the product now. The minimums and the platform are the facts that should decide this one.
