SnapInspect vs zInspector

Three companies publish content circling this pair — roundups, alternatives lists, reviews of one by a competitor — and none of them will write the straight comparison. Neither product has a deep enough review record to settle it either.

Who wrote this, and what we sell

We make ReportWalk, an inspection app, which puts us in the same category as both products here — including on voice capture, which zInspector also ships. Read accordingly. Neither company has any relationship with us.

The short answer

SnapInspect

Choose SnapInspect if its workflow fits how you inspect and you want a product focused on property inspection reporting.

zInspector

Choose zInspector if you want voice capture, documented offline operation and native property management integrations, with a free plan under five units.

Both have thin public review records. Whichever way you lean, trial it properly rather than relying on other people's accounts — because there are very few of those.

Who actually switched, and why

We found no switched-from records for either product, in any direction, on any platform. Both review corpora are too thin to carry the signal. We are stating that rather than substituting adjacent data.

No migration evidence found

We could not find a single named, dated record of anyone moving between these two products in either direction. We are saying so rather than implying a flow that we cannot evidence.

Where they genuinely differ

Voice, stated honestly

zInspector ships voice capture, describing speaking naturally during an inspection and having a report generated from it. We say this plainly because our own product is built on voice and a page implying nobody else does it would be false.

We found no equivalent voice claim from SnapInspect.

Offline

zInspector's documentation states it works completely offline with no Wi-Fi required. Its AI assistant page makes no offline claim, so whether the transcription runs on the device is unresolved.

We could not find comparable offline documentation from SnapInspect, which is a gap in our research rather than a finding about the product.

Pricing

zInspector publishes a free plan for under five units; its paid tier table sits behind a calculator blocked from indexing, so we are not quoting a per-seat figure.

SnapInspect's current pricing was not captured from its own page with a date during this research.

What each is honestly better at

SnapInspect

Focus on property inspection reporting as its own product rather than as a module. For an operator who wants a tool built for inspections specifically, that concentration is the offer.

zInspector

Reachability and capability at small scale — a free plan under five units, voice capture, documented offline operation, and integrations into the systems that hold the lease.

What we could not verify

  • Pricing for both products.
  • SnapInspect's offline behaviour.
  • Whether zInspector's transcription runs offline.
  • Any migration between the two — neither has enough public reviews to show one.
  • Reddit was unreachable in every research session.

If neither fits — a third shape of tool

Both of these are close in shape to what we build, and the honest version of this box is that we are a third option in a small field rather than a different category. ReportWalk is built for one person and a finished document, offline, with no property register.
